Montana Garlic on the way!

Good Morning garlic lovers, we have some good news to share. We have been busy harvesting the Montana garlic variety. If you have read our past blogs, you might remember that this is our most popular variety. The Montana garlic is HOT, lingers and has a bold, robust garlic flavor that holds true after roasting, baking, sautéing or frying. It is one of the hottest varieties we sell. We enjoy using this garlic for roasts and for sautéing. We have used the Montana variety for bruschetta and hummus and it is very strong. If a BOLD, full flavor is your garlic jam, this is the one for you.

Update on Shandong and Thai Purple...It is ready! I will be listing everything we have for sale by tomorrow. We have VERY LIMITED amounts of these two varieties. I plan on growing greater quantities next year, but unfortunately, we ran out of space this year. No worries, if you are on the waiting list for these two varieties, you will receive your garlic once you finalize your order. If you miss out on these two this year, rest assured we will be planting more next year!

Reminder: If you have a garlic in mind that you would like, PLEASE contact me and let me know so that I can add your name to the list ensuring you have your top pick ready to go.

On a personal note, many of you may not know that we are currently looking for a new piece of land and house since my husband will be retiring this year from the Army! Fear not, we will have a harvest next year regardless of where we move to:) Our goal is to have at least 5000 heads in the ground by October. The garlic salt and powder will be available in batches. The first batch will be ready in about two weeks. Our jars have changed from last year as well. I have increased the size of the jars this year to over 3 ounces which was due to the feedback we received! Keep your ideas, stories, suggestions, questions and critiques coming! I love reading and responding to each and every one of you!
